Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Special Educator role based in Kochi.

The Special

Educator will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for learners with diverse needs, adapting instructional materials and teaching methods to support their academic and developmental progress. Daily responsibilities include teaching core subjects to small groups or individual students, monitoring progress, maintaining records, and collaborating with general education teachers, therapists, and families. The role involves conducting classroom assessments, providing accommodations, fostering an inclusive classroom environment,



and supporting learners’ social and emotional skills.

The Special

Educator will also participate in team meetings, contribute to intervention planning, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Special Education and experience working with learners with various Disabilities.
- Demonstrated Teaching experience, ideally with Middle School students or comparable age groups.
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant degree or certification in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Ability to create and implement IEPs, use differentiated instruction, and apply evidence-based practices.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Comfort working in an in office school setting in Kochi and participating actively in school activities.
- Prior experience in a child development centre or inclusive school setting is an added advantage.
