Role Description The Space Science Educator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dwarka, responsible for delivering engaging astronomy and space science education programs. The educator will design and conduct interactive lessons, workshops, and demonstrations for school and community groups, ensuring content is age-appropriate and aligned with curriculum standards. Day-to-day tasks include lesson planning, preparing teaching materials and hands-on activities,



using telescopes and other scientific tools, and explaining concepts in physics, mathematics, and space science in an accessible manner.

The role involves coordinating with school staff and internal teams, conducting outreach sessions and events, supporting curriculum implementation, and maintaining accurate records of sessions and student progress. The educator will also assist in developing new modules, updating existing content based on learner feedback, and promoting a culture of scientific inquiry and critical thinking among participants.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Science Education, with subject knowledge in Physics and Mathematics.
- Experience as a Qualified Teacher or educator, with proven skills in classroom management and learner engagement.
- Ability in Lesson Planning, including designing interactive activities, experiments, and assessments.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse age groups.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Astronomy, Science Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience conducting workshops, camps, or outreach programs in STEM or space science is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with using educational technology, scientific instruments (e.g., telescopes), and multimedia teaching resources.
- Team-oriented mindset, willingness to travel for programs when needed, and commitment to fostering scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.
