Job Title: O&M; Engineer – Rooftop Solar

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled O&M; Engineer to independently handle the operation and maintenance of rooftop solar sites. The Engineer will be responsible for regular site inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, plant performance monitoring, and ensuring the protected and efficient operation of rooftop solar systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently carry out day-to-day O&M; activities at rooftop solar sites.
- Conduct regular inspection of rooftop solar plants and electrical equipment.
- Monitor solar plant generation and performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical and solar system faults.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of rooftop solar systems.
- Inspect and maintain solar modules, inverters, AC/DC systems, cables, earthing, and protection systems.
- Attend breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements.
- Identify the root cause of equipment failures and take corrective action.
- Check inverter performance, alarms, faults, and system parameters.
- Ensure proper functioning of all electrical and solar equipment.
- Maintain site-wise O&M; records, checklists, generation data,



and maintenance reports.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions at rooftop solar sites.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures and company policies.
- Report major technical issues and plant performance concerns to management.
- Travel to different rooftop solar sites as required for O&M; activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in rooftop solar O&M; will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of solar PV systems and electrical equipment.
- Understanding of inverters, AC/DC systems, cables, earthing, protection systems, and electrical panels.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve electrical and solar plant issues.
- Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Good problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel to different rooftop solar sites.
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend emergency breakdowns when required.
