Role Description The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of JobBeeper’s core platform and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing backend features, optimizing performance, integrating with external APIs, and ensuring system reliability and scalability. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate user needs into robust technical solutions, as well as participating in code reviews and improving development practices.

on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

- Robust foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful services, APIs, and database-driven systems.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them to real-world projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or similar) and relational/non-relational databases.
- Comfort working in an agile environment, with skills in version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in building scalable, high-availability systems or real-time notification services is a plus.
