About ChennaiNest

ChennaiNest is a Chennai-focused rental property discovery platform using Instagram, WhatsApp and technology to help tenants discover rental homes and connect with properties quickly.

We are building a strong Instagram-first brand and are looking for an Social Media Executive who is naturally comfortable with social media, confident in communication and excited to be part of content creation.

This role is ideal for someone who understands Instagram culture, communicates naturally with people and can bring personality to a growing local brand.

What you'll do

Instagram & Community

- Manage Instagram DMs and comments.
- Respond to customer enquiries in a friendly, natural and professional manner.
- Understand customer requirements and guide them towards suitable properties.
- Follow up with interested Instagram leads.
- Engage with followers and build an active ChennaiNest community.
- Monitor Instagram trends, formats, conversations and content opportunities.
- Manage Stories and other day-to-day Instagram activities.
- Identify common customer questions and turn them into content ideas.
- Maintain ChennaiNest's tone of voice across Instagram communication.

Customer Calls
- Handle customer calls when required.
- Communicate confidently and naturally in spoken English.
- Communicate clearly in Tamil when required.
- Hindi knowledge is an added advantage.
- Understand customer requirements and explain property details clearly.
- Follow up with potential customers and help move genuine leads towards site visits.
- Maintain a friendly, confident and professional tone without sounding scripted.
- Coordinate with the operations team when a lead requires further assistance.

Content Creation
- Create engaging Instagram content around rentals, properties and local areas.
- Be comfortable appearing on camera for Reels and Stories.
- Create talking-head, POV, informational and trend-based content.
- Assist with property-related content when required.
- Suggest current Reel ideas based on audience questions, trends and performance.
- Participate in property shoots and create natural, relatable social-media content.




- Create simple phone-shot content when an opportunity arises.
- Help ChennaiNest develop a recognizable and relatable Instagram personality.

What we're looking for
- Strong understanding of Instagram and short-form content.
- Excellent spoken English with clear pronunciation and natural conversation skills.
- Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone.
- Good Tamil communication skills.
- Hindi is an added advantage.
- Confident and comfortable appearing on camera.
- Naturally outgoing, friendly and conversational.
- Good understanding of current Instagram trends, Reels, Stories and social-media culture.
- Ability to communicate like a real person rather than relying on robotic/scripted responses.
- Good sense of humour, creativity and curiosity.
- Ability to understand customer requirements quickly.
- Comfortable working in an on-site environment and travelling to property/content shoot locations across Chennai.
- Previous experience in content creation, social media, customer communication, sales or community management is an advantage.

Work arrangement This is an on-site role involving both:

Office work

- Instagram DMs and comments
- Customer calls
- Content planning
- Community engagement
- Follow-ups and coordination

Field work

- Property/content shoots
- Appearing in Reels and Stories
- Creating location-based content
- Visiting properties and different areas across Chennai

The candidate should be comfortable with regular travel to shoot locations as part of the role.

There may also be opportunities to work on social-media content and lead-generation projects for external clients as ChennaiNest expands its content services.
