We are looking for an experienced Shopify App Developer to design and build a custom Shopify app focused on smart search and advanced product filtering (similar to tools like SOBooster). The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Shopify app development, search architecture, and filtering logic, and can work independently to deliver a scalable, production-ready app.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a Shopify app from scratch (public or private)

- Build smart search functionality — autocomplete, typo tolerance, and suggestions

- Implement advanced faceted product filtering

- Integrate real-time, AJAX-based search results

- Design and manage backend architecture for search indexing

- Work with search engines such as Elasticsearch, Algolia, or similar

- Implement merchandising logic (ranking and boosting products)

- Optimize app performance for speed and scalability

- Integrate Shopify APIs — Admin API, Storefront API, and Webhooks

- Build a clean, responsive UI using Shopify Polaris / React

Required Skills

- Solid experience in Shopify app development

- Proficiency in Node.js / JavaScript (or Ruby on Rails)

- Experience with search technologies (Elasticsearch, Algolia, or similar)

- Solid understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL

- Experience with React.js and Shopify Polaris

- Understanding of product data structures, collections, and metafields

- Familiarity with AWS, GCP,



or other cloud-based architecture

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building search & filter apps for eCommerce

- Knowledge of AI/NLP-based search systems

- Experience with multi-language and multi-currency stores

- Understanding of SEO and performance optimization

- Prior experience publishing apps to the Shopify App Store

What You'll Be Building A Shopify app similar to SOBooster, including:

- Smart product search

- Advanced filtering system

- Search analytics dashboard

- Merchandising & ranking controls

Candidate Requirements

- Must have built Shopify apps independently

- Able to share live app links or a portfolio

- Comfortable working with minimal supervision

- Strong communication skills and an ownership mindset

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
