Role Description The Shoe Pattern Maker is a full-time, on-site role based in Unnao. This position is responsible for developing accurate shoe patterns for safety and casual footwear, translating design concepts into production-ready patterns. Day-to-day tasks include creating and adjusting patterns, performing fittings, and collaborating closely with designers, sample makers, and production teams to ensure proper fit, functionality, and manufacturability.
The role involves using both manual techniques and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, preparing technical specifications, and working with sewing and lasting teams to refine prototypes.
The Shoe Pattern
Maker also reviews samples, identifies issues, and suggests improvements to support efficient, high-quality mass production.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Pattern Making and Pattern Design for footwear.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in Fitting and Sewing related to shoe construction.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools used for footwear pattern development.
- Relevant experience in shoe pattern making for safety and/or casual footwear in a manufacturing workplace.
- Understanding of materials, components, and construction methods used in footwear production.
- Attention to detail, spatial awareness, and ability to interpret technical drawings and design briefs.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with design and production staff.
- Diploma or certification in footwear design, pattern making, or a related technical field is preferred.
