- Business Excellence
- Supervising the operation and maintenance of the Occupational Health Centre (OHC) at the Samri group of mines and provide integrated medical services through implementation health protocols
- Supervising achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual targets of Periodic Medical Examination (PME) as per schedule
- Supervising IME for all new employees including contractual employees

- Cost
- Planning and budgeting for medical services at the OHC for the Samri group of mines and monitoring adherence

- Cash
- Managing inventory for medicines and medical supplies to minimise expiry and utilize optimally
- Making optimum requisition of medicines and monitoring usage of medicines to minimise wastage as a result of expiry
- Maintaining medical supplies inventory and ensuring any medicine with less than three months left to expire is sent back to Samri Medical Store
- Creating a system of maintaining reagents inventory

- Customer
- Assigning a health status to each employee based on the result of the IME and PME then conducting the medical follow up depending on the health zoning
- Providing medical consultation to employees at work and at the Samri Colony
- Keeping ambulances in readiness and arranging for hospital transfers at the shortest possible time after basic medical aid in case of major illnesses/ accidents
- Supervising refilling of First Aid boxes across the mines of the Samri group of mines as per standard guidelines to prevent stock out at any point
- Providing OPD for employees and their families
- Maintaining health records in digitised format
- Maintaining hygiene in canteen and restrooms through inspections
- Providing timely MIS to the CMO as per specified intervals

- Sustainability and Compliance
- Undertaking necessary compliance with CDMO Office with respect to drug licence, bio waste authorization,



ambulance fitness certificate, authorization under Clinical Establishment Act
- Supervising applicable statutory compliances including manhours for which pharmacists are deployed
- Supervising bio waste management is done as per OSPCB guidelines and submits monthly returns
- Supervising digitisation of medical records of employees and their dependents for profiling their health status as well as future reference for treatment

- Partnering emergency handling readiness
- Partnering implementation of valuable housekeeping practices and green initiatives at the Samri OHC
- Attending medical camps as and when required as CSR outreach

- Safety
- Supervising implementation of safety norms with focus on PPE usage and Radiological safety
- Facilitating safety related training and awareness sessions for paramedics under jurisdiction and housekeeping staff engaged in medical room upkeep with focus on handling bio waste to prevent harm during handling
- Conducting Root Cause Analysis of incidence of diseases and initiates corrective action
- Conducting Behaviour Based Safety Observations (BBSO)-escalating unsafe conditions to safety officer
- Visiting colony in Samri including contract labour quarters to inspect safety and hygiene condition and reporting health and safety violations besides educating the employee
- Supervising implementation of fire safety protocols at the OHC and partnering safety officer and VTO in conducting fire safety drills
- Submitting Annual Returns pertaining to safety to the Safety Head

- People development and engagement
- Facilitating talent acquisition, the performance management, training for paramedics and other OHC staff under jurisdiction
- Conducting First Aid Training in collaboration with the Vocational Training Centre
- Maintaining First Aiders List and checking work schedule so that at least one first aider is available per shift
- Implementing employee engagement initiatives, recognition schemes to improve employee connect for paramedics under jurisdiction
