Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior WordPress Developer.

The Senior

WordPress Developer will design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring secure, high-performance, and scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Responsibilities include translating UI/UX designs into responsive, accessible WordPress interfaces, optimizing site performance, and integrating third-party services and APIs. The role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers,



conducting code reviews, and maintaining clean, well-documented code.

The Senior

WordPress Developer will also troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, implement security best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of the development workflow and architecture.

Qualifications

- Strong WordPress development skills, including custom theme and plugin development, Gutenberg/Block Editor customization, and WooCommerce or similar integrations.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind).
- Back-end experience with PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, and integration of external services and enterprise platforms.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, caching strategies, SEO-friendly development, and web accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows in distributed teams.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, role-based access control, and hardening WordPress for enterprise environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative setting.
- Relevant experience in building complex, high-traffic WordPress solutions; prior work in enterprise or SaaS environments is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
