Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Senior US Accountant & Management Reporting Lead to own the end-to-end accounting delivery for a portfolio of US clients.

You will work directly on client books and manage bookkeeping, month-end close, and preparation of accurate, client-ready management reports.

You will own the accuracy of every deliverable and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients—understanding requirements, resolving queries, and communicating financial updates clearly in English, both written and verbal.

Alongside your individual delivery work, you will guide junior accountants, review their work, improve quality, and ensure all client deadlines are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, including transaction entry and categorisation, account reconciliations, and month-end journal entries and adjustments.
- Manage month-end close and prepare P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare client-ready monthly management reports, including AR/AP ageing, variance analysis, revenue/expense trends, and relevant business insights.
- Create and maintain reporting templates and dashboards in Excel and Google Sheets.




- Communicate directly with US clients through professional emails, calls, and monthly reporting discussions.
- Review the junior accountant’s work, allocate tasks, provide corrections, and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain client-specific SOPs, checklists, trackers, and documentation.
- Support sales-tax, payroll, and 1099-related accounting work; coordinate on complex tax matters when required.
- Identify bookkeeping issues, reporting gaps, and process improvements proactively.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, CA Inter, CMA Inter, CA, or an equivalent accounting/finance qualification.
- 3–5 years of hands-on US accounting experience with an accounting outsourcing firm, US CPA firm, bookkeeping firm, or similar finance-services workplace.
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience is mandatory; Xero is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, General Ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, sales tax, payroll, and 1099 processes.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, FILTER, QUERY, charts, and reporting templates.




- Experience preparing management reports and explaining financial results to US clients in clear written and verbal English.
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, problem-solving, and deadline management.
- Experience reviewing or mentoring junior accountants is preferred.

Good to Have

- QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.
- Experience with Bill.com, Gusto, Stripe, Shopify, Avalara, Hubdoc, or similar tools.
- Exposure to e-commerce, inventory, commission, project profitability, or cash-flow reporting.
- Power BI or Looker Studio knowledge.
