Transmission Line Senior Structural Engineer

- Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years work experience is required

1. Structural (Lattice structures) design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work.
2. Solid knowledge of the following Australian Standards AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995 and AS 1170 and International Standards.
3. Sound experience in the use of computer design packages e.g. PLS Tower, PLS Pole;
4. Development of conductor loads for transmission and substation structures.
5. Experience in the development of conductor attachment point loads for transmission and substation structures through “Limit State” design method.
6. Experience in the analysis of lattice towers,



pole and gantry structures.
7. Experience in lattice tower member connection detailing and design.
8. Experience in existing tower augmentation and strengthening works for TL upgradation projects.
9. Experience in lattice tower, pole and substation foundation designs. Computer literacy with a high standard of competence in the principal components of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Outlook .
10. Ability to solve complex technical and operational problems, either through a systematic approach or innovation.
