About the Client Programme

Phi Partners has supported this Investment Banking client for over a decade across Front Office Quant, eTrading, Pricing & Risk, and Core Technology. Since 2017, our collaboration has expanded from a small specialist team into a global capability supporting their enterprise market data, eTrading, and risk platforms.

As part of our long-term strategic initiative, we are investing in building a young, dynamic, and high-performing talent hub in India - strengthening the future-facing foundation of our partnership and supporting the bank’s global technology strategy. With the Global Risk and Market Data remit continuing to grow across international branches, we are now scaling the team further and hiring an L2/L3 Support Engineer to support their New York office.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an L2/L3 Production Support Engineer, you will be supporting the bank’s market data platform and its integration with downstream trading systems. You will act as a key operational owner, providing high-quality support during NY hours, driving incidents through to resolution, and implementing small technical changes to support evolving regulatory and business priorities. Your responsibilities include:

- Implementing pre-release and post-deployment verifications
- Integrating with Rundeck or DevAzure for deployment
- Implementing application control solutions (start/stop scripts)




- Integrating with monitoring solutions (OpsRamp)
- Provisioning and setup of new servers
- Configuring authentication, Service Accounts, etc.
- Following up on production incidents and problem tickets
- Troubleshooting trading and market data production issues.
- Recommending and implementing infrastructure improvements

Key Skills The ideal candidate will have hands-on L2/L3 production support experience within e-Trading platforms or capital markets environments and be enthusiastic to learn regulatory and trading workflows.

Necessary

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes with hands-on experience in L3 production support activities (incident, problem, and change management).
- Solid knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, including query optimization and troubleshooting database-related issues.
- Good understanding of asymmetric encryption concepts and secure communication mechanisms.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting and familiarity with network-related commands for troubleshooting at an L3 level (non-administrative).
- Working knowledge of Grafana, including dashboard creation, monitoring, alerting, and onboarding new services/applications. including experience advising developers on instrumentation and endpoint exposure

Desirable

- Basic development knowledge in Java and/or Python for debugging, automation, or log analysis.
- Experience with production monitoring tools, log analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive long-term fixes for recurring issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in high-availability production environments.
- Good communication skills and experience coordinating with cross-functional teams.
