About Wybit

Wybit is an AI-native healthcare technology company building intelligent automation for physician practices and ambulatory care organizations. We integrate AI into existing EHR and operational workflows to reduce administrative work, automate repetitive processes, and help healthcare teams operate more efficiently without replacing the systems they already use.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in browser and portal automation to build infrastructure that allows AI agents to reliably interact with third-party web applications and portals.

Think of platforms such as Integuru, where complex web workflows can be understood, converted into structured actions, and executed programmatically—even when traditional APIs are unavailable.

You will build systems capable of navigating authenticated portals, understanding application workflows, extracting information, submitting forms, downloading documents, performing multi-step actions, and recovering when websites change.

This is not primarily a frontend role. We are looking for someone who enjoys understanding how web applications actually work underneath the UI.

What You’ll Build

You will work on systems that can:

- Automate complex workflows across third-party web portals.
- Observe browser/network activity and identify the underlying APIs and requests used by web applications.
- Convert UI interactions into reusable, structured actions.
- Build reliable automations using technologies such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Chrome DevTools Protocol,

and browser instrumentation.
- Handle authentication flows, cookies, sessions, tokens, redirects, MFA workflows, and session renewal.
- Reverse-engineer REST, GraphQL, and undocumented web APIs when appropriate.
- Extract structured data from HTML, PDFs, tables, downloads, and dynamically rendered applications.
- Perform actions such as searches, form submissions, document uploads/downloads, status checks, and data entry.
- Build fallback strategies when direct API interaction is not possible.
- Detect portal/UI changes and automatically identify broken workflows.
- Create reusable abstractions so new portals can be integrated quickly rather than building one-off scripts.
- Connect portal automation with LLM/AI agents and larger workflow orchestration systems.
- Build logging, retries, observability, audit trails, and failure recovery into every automation.

What We’re Looking For You should have 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience with robust backend and web fundamentals.

Strong experience with several of the following is important:

- Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js
- Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, or similar browser automation frameworks
- Chrome DevTools Protocol

- Browser networking and HTTP fundamentals
- REST and GraphQL APIs
- WebSockets
- DOM inspection and manipulation
- Authentication protocols including OAuth, JWT, cookies, and session-based authentication
- Network request interception and browser instrumentation
- Reverse-engineering web application workflows
- Distributed job processing and asynchronous systems
- PostgreSQL / Redis
- Docker and cloud infrastructure
- Logging, monitoring, and observability

You should be comfortable opening Chrome DevTools, watching a user perform an action, inspecting the network requests behind it, and figuring out how to reproduce that workflow reliably through software. What Makes This Role Different

We are not looking for someone who only writes Selenium scripts.

The goal is to build a generalized portal automation platform where Wybit can teach the system a workflow once and reliably execute it across thousands of transactions.

A typical challenge might look like:

"A staff member logs into a payer portal, searches for a patient, checks authorization status, downloads a document, extracts information from it, updates another system, and follows up if something is missing."

Your job is to turn that entire workflow into reliable software.

Ideal Candidate

You will probably enjoy this role if you are the kind of engineer who sees a web application with no API and thinks:

“There has to be a way to automate this.”

You enjoy debugging difficult integrations, understanding undocumented systems, and building infrastructure rather than one-off scripts.
