Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day production operations in a Paper Pulp / Pulp & Paper manufacturing workplace. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in pulp processing, continuous-process manufacturing, production operations, manpower management, and shop-floor supervision.
Candidates with relevant experience in pulp processing, paper manufacturing, or similar continuous-process industries will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily production activities on the shop floor.
- Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements and shift schedules.
- Monitor production processes to achieve quality, productivity, safety, and efficiency targets.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per daily and monthly production plans.
- Monitor pulp processing, material handling, machinery operation, process parameters, and production workflow.
- Monitor operating parameters and identify process abnormalities, breakdown-related issues, or production losses.
- Take appropriate corrective action to minimize downtime, wastage, and production losses.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Management to ensure smooth production operations.
- Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, safety procedures, 5S, housekeeping, and operational standards.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, production data, consumption records, and other required documentation.
- Monitor raw material utilization and identify opportunities to improve process efficiency.
- Independently manage shift operations and ensure effective manpower deployment.
- Train, guide, and supervise operators and production workers.
- Ensure discipline, productivity, and adherence to standard operating procedures on the shop floor.
- Report production performance, operational issues, and abnormalities to management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in production/manufacturing.
- Prior experience in Paper Pulp / Pulp & Paper industry is highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in pulp processing, production operations, or continuous-process manufacturing may also be considered.
- Experience in a Production Supervisor / Senior Production Supervisor / Shift In-Charge / Production Lead role is preferred.
- Strong practical knowledge of production processes, industrial machinery, and shop-floor operations.
- Experience in manpower handling and shift management.
- Willingness to work in shifts, as required.
