Job Overview / Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior PHP/Laravel Developer with 68 years of experience to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting robust backend solutions, designing RESTful APIs, optimizing database performance, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in the Laravel ecosystem, modern backend architecture, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Application Architecture & Development: Lead end-to-end development of web applications using PHP and Laravel framework, from system architecture design through deployment and maintenance.
- API & Microservices Design: Build and maintain high-efficiency RESTful APIs and microservices ensuring high scalability, security, and performance.
- Clean Code & Best Practices: Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following SOLID principles, design patterns, and Laravel conventions (Eloquent ORM, Artisan, Blade, etc.).
- Database & Performance Optimization: Architect relational database schemas (MySQL/PostgreSQL), optimize complex queries, and implement advanced caching/queueing systems (Redis, Memcached, RabbitMQ/SQS).
- Security & Vulnerability Management: Enforce robust security standards covering authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT, Sanctum/Passport) and protection against SQL Injection, XSS, and CSRF.
- DevOps & Integration: Integrate third-party APIs/services and work with modern CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).




- Mentorship & Team Leadership: Conduct code reviews, establish technical standards, and guide junior/mid-level developers to foster continuous learning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, UI/UX designers, QA, and DevOps to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience: 68 years of professional PHP development experience, including 4+ years dedicated to Laravel (v8+ preferred).
- Core Expertise: OOP PHP, MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, Queues, Events, Middleware, and Database Schema Design.
- Database Management: Deep knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL, indexing, and query tuning.
- API & Frontend: Strong background in REST APIs, API authentication, and proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, alongside frameworks like Vue.js or React.
- Tools & Infrastructure: Git, Docker, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Jenkins), and basic exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Testing: Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing using PHPUnit or Pest.
- Methodology: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and project tracking tools like Jira or Trello.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.

Positive to Have / Preferred:

- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with other PHP frameworks (Symfony) or CMS platforms (WordPress, Magento).
- Prior domain exposure to Fintech, E-commerce, or SaaS products.
- Contributions to open-source packages or an active public GitHub portfolio.
- Laravel Certification or AWS Certified Developer credentials.
