Role Description The Senior Metallizer Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for operating and overseeing metallizing equipment used in the production of specialty optical films. This role includes setting up and calibrating metallizing machines, monitoring process parameters, and ensuring film quality, adhesion, and coating uniformity meet defined specifications.

Operator leads troubleshooting activities, performs routine maintenance, and coordinates with production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize throughput and minimize downtime. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing production plans, supervising operators, maintaining accurate process and batch records,



and strictly following safety and environmental guidelines. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements, supporting trials, and helping implement best practices in metallizing operations.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of metallizing processes, vacuum coating systems, and related production equipment operation.
- Experience in high-precision manufacturing environments, preferably in films, packaging, optical, or materials processing industries.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, process instructions, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor process parameters, identify deviations, and conduct systematic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with basic mechanical maintenance, equipment checks, and safe machine handling practices.
- Understanding of quality control methods, including visual inspection, thickness measurement, and surface defect analysis.
- Commitment to workplace safety, use of PPE, and adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills, with the ability to guide and train junior operators.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliability in following standardized procedures.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required and to support occasional extended hours during peak production.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead operator role in metallizing or similar coating operations is highly beneficial.
