Role Description The Senior Merchandiser is a full-time, on-site role based in India, responsible for managing end-to-end merchandising activities for fashion collections. This role includes trend analysis, product selection, and range planning aligned with client requirements and brand positioning.

The Senior

Merchandiser will coordinate closely with suppliers for sampling, costing, negotiations, and order placement, ensuring quality, timely deliveries, and margin targets. Daily responsibilities also include monitoring sales performance and inventory, preparing reports and recommendations,



and collaborating with internal teams on marketing and visual merchandising. The role requires regular interaction with clients and partners to present assortments, gather feedback, and maintain strong, long-term business relationships.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to analyze performance, optimize assortments, and drive profitability in fashion collections.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills to support product positioning, promotions, and brand-aligned merchandising initiatives.
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser in fashion, apparel, or related sectors, preferably with exposure to global sourcing.
- Robust analytical and negotiation abilities, including comfort with data, pricing, and margins.
- Knowledge of sustainability and ethical sourcing practices in the fashion industry is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and related tools for reporting, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
