About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Merchandiser to manage the complete merchandising process from product development and sampling to production follow-up and final shipment. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in apparel/fashion merchandising, vendor management, product development, costing, and buyer coordination.

The candidate will work closely with international buyers, suppliers, factories, designers, and internal teams to ensure products are developed and delivered according to required quality, cost, specifications, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities1. Product Development

- Manage product development from initial concept/tech pack through sampling and approval.
- Coordinate with designers, buyers, suppliers, and factories on product requirements.
- Review tech packs, measurements, specifications, BOMs, artwork, trims, and fabrics.
- Follow up on proto, fit, size-set, PP and shipment samples.
- Ensure samples are developed within agreed timelines.

1. Buyer Coordination

- Communicate with international buyers regarding product development, orders, approvals, and production status.
- Understand buyer requirements and ensure accurate execution.
- Prepare and maintain buyer-related documents, T&A;, order sheets, and development trackers.
- Provide regular updates on order and production progress.

1. Vendor & Factory Management

- Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with suitable vendors and factories.
- Negotiate prices, production timelines, MOQ, and other commercial requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Monitor vendor performance in terms of quality, cost, capacity,



and delivery.

1. Costing & Order Management

- Prepare product costing based on fabric, trims, labour, washing, printing, embroidery, packaging, and other components.
- Work with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
- Review purchase orders and ensure all order details are correctly communicated to factories.
- Monitor order quantities, margins, and delivery commitments.

1. Production Follow-Up

- Monitor the complete production cycle from order placement to shipment.
- Track production against the agreed Time & Action (T&A;) calendar.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Escalate delays or critical production issues and ensure timely corrective action.
- Ensure on-time delivery of orders.

1. Quality & Compliance

- Ensure products meet approved samples, buyer specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and corrective actions.
- Follow up on quality issues and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Ensure factories comply with required buyer standards and compliance requirements.

1. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate merchandising records and development trackers.
- Prepare weekly/monthly order status reports.
- Maintain sample, costing, order, production, and shipment records.
- Ensure timely submission of all required documents to buyers and internal teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in apparel/fashion merchandising.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing and sourcing processes.
- Experience working with international buyers/brands will be preferred.
