Position: Senior Java Developer

Job Purpose

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Spring technologies. This role requires strong hands-on coding expertise, architectural contribution, cloud-native development experience, and the ability to mentor team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical design discussions.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
- Review code, enforce coding standards, and promote best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in development and production environments.
- Participate in CI/CD implementation and deployment automation initiatives.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills & Experience




- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.
- Strong understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Design, and Design Patterns.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, API security, and backend integrations.
- Experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and database design with MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
- Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Working knowledge of OAuth2, SSO, Azure AD, authentication, authorization, and application security.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Linux environments and command-line tools.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Solid understanding of JVM internals, performance tuning, and application optimization.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience building high-availability, cloud-native applications.
- Discipline in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
