Job Summary

DECG Group is looking for a Purchase Executive to support and manage procurement activities for our fabrication and manufacturing operations.

The role will involve sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, obtaining and comparing quotations, supporting negotiations, processing purchase orders, following up on deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of materials for production.

Candidates with 1–4+ years of relevant purchase/procurement experience are encouraged to apply. The level of responsibility will be aligned with the candidate's experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure raw materials, fabrication materials, consumables, tools, and other production requirements.
- Source materials such as MS/SS plates, sheets, pipes, angles, channels, sections, fasteners, welding consumables, and related materials.
- Identify and develop new vendors while maintaining relationships with existing suppliers.
- Obtain vendor quotations and prepare quotation/rate comparisons and comparative statements.
- Support or independently handle price and commercial negotiations based on experience.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding quality, payment terms, delivery schedules, and order requirements.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Track purchase orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor pending orders and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Stores, and Accounts teams for procurement requirements.
- Verify material specifications,



quantities, BOMs, drawings, and delivery requirements before placing orders.
- Handle or support urgent procurement requirements to avoid production delays.
- Maintain vendor records, quotations, comparative statements, POs, MIS, and other purchase documentation.
- Support cost comparison, cost reduction, and alternate vendor development initiatives.
- Use MS Excel and ERP/purchase software for purchase tracking and reporting.

Key Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering – Mandatory.
- 1–4+ years of experience in purchase, procurement, or related materials management.
- Experience in vendor coordination, quotation analysis, purchase order management, and procurement follow-up.
- Knowledge of fabrication/manufacturing materials is preferred.
- Basic to strong understanding of BOMs, technical drawings, and material specifications, depending on experience level.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- ERP/purchase software knowledge will be an advantage.
- Robust communication, vendor coordination, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates from fabrication, manufacturing, engineering, steel, or related industries are preferred.

Candidate Preference
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- Local candidates are preferred.
- Candidates willing to work from Mandideep/Bhopal.
- Minimum 60% marks in 10th and 12th preferred.
- CBSE / English-medium background preferred.

Experience Level Junior Level: 1–2 years

Experienced Level: 3–4+ years

Responsibilities and level of independence will be determined based on relevant experience and technical knowledge.
