We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DSP and RF Communications Engineer to architect and implement high-performance radio communication, radar, and software-defined radio (SDR) systems for UAV and defense applications.
The role involves developing FPGA-based digital communication and signal processing systems, including complete PHY and portions of the MAC layer, while implementing complex digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms in FPGA/RTL. The engineer will work on robust, low-latency, anti-jam communication links and advanced signal processing architectures capable of operating in contested RF environments.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with FPGA, SDR (Software Defined Radio), digital signal processing, radio communications, radar systems, and digital communication systems, along with experience integrating embedded software with ARM processors.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement complete COFDM transmit and receive chains for high-performance radio communication systems.
Develop configurable SDR and FPGA-based PHY architectures supporting multiple bandwidths and modulation schemes.
Implement advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms in FPGA/RTL for real-time communication and signal processing.
Develop and optimize FPGA-based architectures for radio communications and radar signal processing.
Implement adaptive modulation and coding (AMC).
Optimize communication systems for low latency, high throughput, and real-time operation.
Implement 44 MIMO architectures, including spatial multiplexing and diversity techniques.
Implement MIMO channel estimation and signal detection algorithms.
Develop FPGA IP cores for OFDM baseband processing and digital communications.
Develop and optimize DSP pipelines for SDR, radio communication, and radar applications.
Develop software running on ARM Cortex-A53/R5 processors.
Integrate FPGA-based SDR systems with RF transceivers from Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, and similar vendors.
Work on signal processing algorithms involving modulation, demodulation, filtering, synchronization, channel estimation, detection, and estimation.
Support development of anti-jam and resilient radio communication systems for defense and UAV applications.
Integrate and debug FPGA, SDR, RF, and embedded processing subsystems.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in FPGA, SDR, digital communications, DSP, radar, or related signal processing systems.
Strong FPGA RTL design experience using Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog.
