About the Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Senior Designer to lead the design and execution of workplace interior projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Design & Build industry, strong conceptual design capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams to deliver innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling office environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workplace interior design projects from concept through execution.
- Understand client requirements and translate them into creative, practical, and cost-effective design solutions.
- Develop space planning, concept presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and design narratives.
- Prepare detailed layouts, working drawings, and presentation packages.
- Coordinate with estimation, procurement, MEP, project management, and execution teams to ensure design intent is maintained.
- Conduct client meetings, design presentations, and workshops.
- Review construction drawings and resolve design-related site issues.
- Select and specify furniture, finishes, lighting, accessories, and materials.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and project standards.
- Mentor and guide junior designers,
providing technical and creative direction.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality expectations.
- Stay updated with workplace design trends, sustainability practices, and emerging materials and technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 6–10 years of experience in workplace interiors within the Design & Build or commercial fit-out industry.
- Robust portfolio demonstrating workplace design projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent understanding of space planning, ergonomics, materials, detailing, and construction methodologies.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing client interactions.
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Revit (preferred)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Rendering tools such as Enscape, Lumion, or 3ds Max (preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Experience delivering medium to large-scale corporate workplace projects.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and workplace wellness standards.
- Exposure to LEED, WELL, or IGBC projects is an added advantage.
