Role Description The Senior Design Engineer – Industrial Automation will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating automation solutions for CNC turning, machining and Grinding centers and special purpose machines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in design, manufacturing, and customer support. Day-to-day activities include concept development, detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing, selection of automation components, and preparation of documents to support assembly, and integration.





The role involves preparing engineering documentation, supporting installation and commissioning, and resolving technical issues during trials and production.

The Senior Design

Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, cost and process optimization, and the development of customized solutions that meet customer-specific requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong industrial automation and machine design skills, including experience with CNC machines, special purpose machines, and automated material handling systems.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) for mechanical design, layout creation, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience in production engineering and process optimization, covering cycle time reduction, line balancing, and reliability and maintainability considerations.
- Understanding of quality and testing practices, including design validation, root cause analysis, and adherence to relevant industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with robust communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in industrial automation design, preferably within the machine tool or manufacturing sector, along with the ability to mentor junior engineers.
