- Patient Care: Provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency consultations for routine and complex gynecological and obstetrical cases.
- High-Risk Management: Diagnose and manage high-risk pregnancies, fetal complications, and severe obstetric emergencies.
- Surgical Duties: Perform major gynecological and obstetric procedures, including cesarean sections, laparoscopic surgeries, and hysteroscopies.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, supervise, and train junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff.
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to hospital safety standards, clinical protocols, and quality improvement programs.
- Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, labor rooms, and obstetric emergencies.
- Perform advanced gynecological surgeries like laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and cesarean sections.
- Be aware of, and comply with, all Trust infection prevention and control policies, to
- include hand hygiene, personal hygiene, environmental and food hygiene. To undertake
- annual training/updates in infection prevention and control.




- To be accountable for the implementation of Code of Practice within own
- department/area of responsibility.
- Prepare for and undertake the protective interventions that he/she is responsible for in a
- manner that is consistent with evidence-based practice and maintaining patient safety.
- Vaginal breech delivery
- Experience of Twin delivery
- Caesarean section at full dilatation
- Caesarean section in women with body mass index
- Caesarean section for transverse lie
- Caesarean section at less than 32 weeks of gestation
- Laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy
- Recording and updating patients' medical histories.
- Advising patients on suitable birth control options.
- Performing various diagnostic tests on patients, which include Pap smears, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone profile blood tests, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies.
- Explaining test results, diagnoses, and treatment options to patients.
- Performing surgeries and gynecological procedures on patients, such as cervical cryosurgeries, dilation and curettages, pelvic laparoscopies, and sterilizations.
- Referring patients to other healthcare specialists as needed.
- Educating patients on reproductive health issues and disease prevention
