Responsible for preparation and review of financial reports, management analysis, and NAIC quarterly/annual reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly Life and Annuity (Separate Accounts), as well as familiarity with NAIC procedures and reporting guidelines. The candidate should possess solid knowledge of accounting principles, including reinsurance accounting, along with experience in preparing additional supplemental schedules and ensuring SOX compliance. Key Responsibilities• Preparation of monthly,
quarterly and annual reports• Strong accounting and reporting knowledge of Statutory reporting processes.
- Broker dealer accounting along with its reporting on STAT and GAAP ledger• Support day-to-day deliverables and ensure adherence to SLAs.
- Assist in preparation and review of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A; and regulatory reporting.
- Solid understanding of trial balance and intercompany reports and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of S4 HANA, Business object, Blackline, SOVOS (NAIC reporting tool)• Deliver high-quality outputs and support key client projects.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and support client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management procedures.
- Support timely resolution of service delivery issues.
- Support implementation of automation, process improvement and efficiency tools.Skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with reporting tools such as Wdesk, AO, BlackLine• Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP.
- Knowledge of STAT reporting, US GAAP• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and consistently meet strict reporting deadlines• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with various internal departments.
Qualifications
• A master’s degree in accounting and finance is required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting
