We are looking for a pragmatic BI Engineer to lead the migration of reports from Power BI to Looker. The primary focus will be Looker, supported by Power BI. The ideal candidate will be a cooperative problem-solver who enjoys engaging directly with business stakeholders to drive data-led decisions.

In this role, you will audit existing Power BI reports to determine migration priorities and rebuild dashboards in Looker to ensure metric parity and intuitive user experiences. You will be responsible for validating outputs with business users, translating high-level requirements into technical specifications, and negotiating priorities to focus on high-value outcomes. Additionally, you will build and maintain Looker dashboards, implement security controls, and document all migration logic.





A key part of your role will be empowering business users through training to promote self-service analytics.

Required Skills

- Extensive experience in BI and analytics with hands-on proficiency in Looker, including dashboards, Explores, and basic LookML.
- Strong SQL proficiency with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Functional knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and data modeling, to interpret existing reports.
- Demonstrated experience executing report migrations between different BI platforms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to debug metric discrepancies and trace data lineage.
- Effective communication skills for facilitating workshops and presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
