Role Description The Senior 3D Generalist will work on-site at the Pompee VFX Animation Studios facility in Kochi in a full-time capacity, contributing to high-quality VFX and animation projects from early concept through final render. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and refining 3D assets, developing textures and materials, setting up lighting, and building production-ready rigs for characters and props. The role involves animating characters and objects, troubleshooting technical and artistic issues, and optimizing scenes for performance and visual fidelity.

The Senior 3D Generalist will collaborate closely with directors, VFX supervisors, and other artists to maintain consistent visual style, meet production deadlines,



and ensure that deliverables align with project requirements. This position also includes mentoring junior artists, providing feedback, and helping improve pipeline workflows and best practices.

Qualifications

- Robust proficiency in 3D content creation tools, including Blender or comparable industry-standard software.
- Demonstrated skills in rigging and character setup for animation-ready assets.
- Advanced abilities in lighting and rendering, with a focus on realism, mood, and storytelling.
- Solid experience with texturing and shading, including UV mapping and material creation.
- Proven animation skills for characters, creatures, and hard-surface objects, with an understanding of timing and motion.
- Experience working in a VFX or animation studio environment, with familiarity in production pipelines and asset management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team, communicate clearly, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities under tight production schedules.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Animation, VFX, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating high-quality 3D generalist work across modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, and animation.
