Job Title* SDET Automation Tester (Selenium • Java • Katalon)

Job Requirements*

- 4-8 years of experience in Software Testing with at least 4+ years in automation.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Java, building stable and maintainable UI tests.
- Proficiency in Java (collections, OOP, streams), TestNG/JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Page Object Model.
- Experience designing automation frameworks (POM, datadriven/keyworddriven, BDD optional).
- Practical experience with Katalon Studio (custom keywords, object repository, test suites, reports).
- API testing and automation using RestAssured/Postman; comfortable validating JSON/XML and schemas.
- CI/CD exposure: integrate test suites with Jenkins/GitHub Actions; run tests in parallel and headless.
- Valuable understanding of XPath/CSS selectors, explicit waits, and synchronization strategies.
- Experience with defect tracking (JIRA/Azure DevOps), Agile ceremonies, and test documentation.
- Familiarity with Git branching, code reviews, and best practices for maintainable test code.
- Nice to have: Docker/Selenium Grid, cloud device/browser farms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs), basics of performance testing (JMeter), and Katalon for Mobile





Key Responsibilities* Own endtoend test automation strategy for web (and mobile if applicable) including scope, coverage, and maintainability.

- Design, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium (Java) and Katalon Studio.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and manual QA to define acceptance criteria and testability.
- Build and optimize test suites for stability, speed, and parallel execution; manage test data and environments.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; publish dashboards and actionable quality metrics.
- Perform API automation for backend services; create mocks/stubs as needed.
- Drive rootcause analysis for defects; ensure timely triage, prioritization, and closure.
- Mentor junior QA engineers; enforce coding standards, reviews, and best practices in test code.
- Contribute to release readiness (go/nogo), risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives
