Role & responsibilities
1. SCADA System Design & Engineering
- Develop SCADA system architecture, General Arrangement Drawings, Layout Drawings
- Prepare detailed engineering deliverables including signal lists.
- Design SCADA system layouts including servers, workstations, HMI, RTU/PLC interfaces, and communication infrastructure.
- Ensure SCADA design compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable international standards.
- Design network diagrams, communication schematics, and interface control documents.
1. Engineering Documentation Preparation
- Prepare SCADA engineering deliverables including design reports, specifications, and technical submittals.
- Review vendor documentation, drawings, and system configurations for compliance with design requirements.
- Preparation of Method statements, IT&C; Plan, FAT/SAT documents, test procedures.
- Maintain configuration control of SCADA design documents and ensure proper revision management.
1. Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, protection, and communication design teams to ensure integrated system design.
- Support project engineering teams with design clarifications and technical inputs.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and technical workshops with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
1. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all SCADA designs comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.
- Participate in internal design reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of all SCADA engineering deliverables.
Preferred candidate profile
- Robust knowledge of SCADA system architecture, RTU/PLC systems, HMI design, and industrial control systems.
- Expertise in communication protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, Modbus, and DNP3.
- Proficiency in network design including Ethernet architecture, VLANs, redundancy, IP planning
- Ability to interpret and develop electrical SLDs, control schematics, and interface diagrams.
- Understanding of substation automation, protection systems, and industrial instrumentation.
- Knowledge of SCADA cybersecurity principles and secure system design practices.
- Familiarity with SCADA engineering tools and configuration platforms.
