Purpose of the role

The Consultant is responsible for the functional analysis, configuration, documentation, testing and supervision of the implementation of the SAP P2P optimisations within the project. The Consultant acts as a subject matter expert and translates Client’s business requirements into a forward-looking SAP solution.

Key Responsibilities

o Preparing and facilitating Fit-to-Standard workshops.

o Analysing and documenting business requirements.

o Translating business needs into a functional design.

o Developing the functional design and configuration of SAP.

o Advising on SAP best practices and lessons learnt from similar projects.

o Drafting and maintaining functional documentation.

o Carrying out and documenting unit testing.

o Supporting key users during system and acceptance testing.

o Preparing and delivering demonstrations and knowledge transfer sessions.

o Advising on reporting options and data structures.

o Identifying risks,



dependencies and opportunities for optimisation within the project.

Required skills

o In-depth knowledge of SAP Procure-to-Pay processes.

o Knowledge of SAP ECC configuration and standard functionalities.

o Strong analytical skills.

o Experience with ‘Fit-to-Standard’ methodologies.

o Experience with process optimisation and change management projects.

o Strong communication and facilitation skills.

o Ability to translate complex processes into practical solutions.

o Knowledge of testing methodologies and documentation standards.

Desired level of experience

o At least 5 years’ relevant experience as an SAP Consultant.

o Demonstrable experience with SAP Activate projects.

o Experience in a regulated or complex organisational workplace is an asset.
