About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP IS-U FICA Consultant with robust functional expertise in Financial Contract Accounting (FI-CA) and experience in the Energy & Utilities / Power sector.

The consultant will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, configuring, and troubleshooting SAP IS-U FICA processes, with a strong focus on billing, invoicing, payments, dunning, account maintenance, and financial integration.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide end-to-end functional support for SAP IS-U FICA, including configuration, enhancements, and production support.
- Configure and support account determination, dunning, interest calculation, payment processing, clarification processing, and returns/reversals.
- Manage Business Partners, Contract Accounts, FICA Documents, and related master data.
- Support incoming/outgoing payments, payment lots, bank statement processing, and payment runs.
- Handle budget billing, invoicing, account maintenance, and utility billing-cycle processes.
- Ensure integration between IS-U FICA, IS-U Billing, Device Management/EDM, FI/CO, and SD.
- Support FI-CA to FI-GL integration, reconciliation, and period/year-end closing activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution within SLA.
- Prepare functional specifications for custom developments, including BAPIs, user exits, and enhancements, and coordinate with ABAP teams.
- Participate in unit testing, integration testing, UAT, upgrades, patches, and enhancement projects.
- Support regulatory and statutory requirements related to the Energy & Utilities domain.
- Work closely with Billing, Device Management, MDM, FI, and other cross-functional teams.
- Manage mass activities, background jobs, and performance-related activities within FICA.




- Maintain functional documentation and provide knowledge transfer to junior team members.
- Coordinate effectively with onshore stakeholders in an offshore delivery/support model.

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall SAP experience with 6–8+ years of hands-on SAP IS-U FICA experience.
- Strong experience in SAP FI-CA configuration and production support.
- Experience in the Energy, Utilities, Power Generation, Power Distribution, or Plant domain is highly preferred.

- Experience with mass activities, background jobs, and performance troubleshooting.
- Understanding of Meter-to-Cash processes and utility billing cycles.
- Experience with incident/problem management tools such as ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, or similar.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills with experience working in global onshore/offshore teams.
- Knowledge of ITIL-based support processes.

Good to Have
- Experience with S/4HANA Utilities / SAP Utilities.
- Exposure to SAP Convergent Invoicing (CI) or Convergent Charging (CC).
- Knowledge of SAP BRIM.
- Experience with regulatory/statutory reporting in the Power & Energy sector.
- SAP certification in IS-U / FI-CA.
- Experience supporting global Energy & Utilities clients.
