SAP ABAP Technical Skills

As an ABAP Developer, you’ll be at the heart of transforming business requirements into scalable, high-performance SAP solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with functional teams and fellow developers to design, build, and optimize custom ABAP code that powers critical business processes — from financial reporting to supply chain operations.

- ABAP Development: Master core ABAP and ABAP Objects (OO ABAP) to build robust, reusable components — with a sharp focus on debugging, performance tuning, and clean, maintainable code.

- RICEFW Solutions: Design and implement Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW) to extend standard SAP functionality and meet evolving business needs.

- DDIC Expertise: Leverage the ABAP Dictionary (DDIC) to define and manage data structures — including tables, views, data elements, domains, search helps, and lock objects — ensuring data integrity and consistency across the system.

- Reporting &
- Analytics: Build agile, user-friendly ALV reports (Classical, Function Module, and Object-Oriented ALV)

- Enhancements &

- Extensions: Extend standard SAP functionality using modern techniques like BAdIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework (SPRO, EEW), and custom Enhancement Points.

- Integration &

- Interfaces: Develop secure, reliable interfaces using BAPIs, RFCs, ALE, and IDocs to connect SAP with external systems and enable seamless data exchange.

- Data Migration &

- Load: Execute complex data migrations using BDC (Batch Data Communication) and LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) to ensure accurate and timely system transitions.

- Forms &

- Documentation: Design intelligent, print-ready forms using SAPScript, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms — enabling automated, compliant communication with customers and partners.

- Functional Awareness: Understand core business processes in SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, and WM to bridge the gap between technical implementation and real-world business requirements — no silos, just collaboration.
