ZASTRAA IS HIRING — SAMPLING & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are setting up a new manufacturing & product development facility and are looking for an experienced person to lead our sampling, fitting and production development.

This is not a conventional production-manager role.

We are looking for someone who has a strong fashion eye + understanding of garment construction + practical production knowledge.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Study fashion/reference garments and translate them into production-ready Zastraa styles
- Develop samples from references, while making the right changes in fit, silhouette, proportions and detailing
- Lead the complete sampling process — from first sample to final approved sample
- Conduct fittings and identify what needs to change to achieve the desired look and fit
- Work closely with pattern masters, sample tailors and production teams
- Make practical decisions on construction, fabrics, trims and finishing
- Ensure that approved samples can be produced consistently at scale
- Develop and improve patterns based on fitting and design requirements
- Coordinate the transition from sample → approved style → production
- Maintain high standards of finishing and quality throughout production

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Relevant experience in fashion/apparel sampling and production




- Strong understanding of women's fashion and contemporary silhouettes
- Excellent eye for fit, proportion, construction and finishing
- Someone who can look at a reference garment and understand how to recreate and improve it, rather than simply copy it
- Strong practical knowledge of patterns, fabrics, stitching and garment construction
- Experience managing sample development and production teams
- Able to independently identify fitting issues and communicate corrections to pattern masters and tailors
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced fashion setting with frequent new product development

MOST IMPORTANT We are looking for someone who can see the garment.

You should be able to look at a reference and say:

“The shoulder needs to come down, the body needs more ease, this proportion isn't right, the sleeve needs to be changed, this construction won't work in production.”

You should have the eye to judge the garment and the technical knowledge to make it happen.
