Salesforce Technical Architect
Location: Chennai
Employment type : Full time
Experience : 10+ years in enterprise technology, including 7+ years with Salesforce and 3+ years leading architecture.
About Teceze
Teceze is an IT services company supporting clients across Digital Workplace Services, Cloud and Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Staff Augmentation and Global Procurement Services. This role contributes to client Salesforce consulting and delivery, working with business stakeholders and technical teams to implement, improve and support enterprise applications.
Role purpose
Teceze is seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to own the technical integrity of complex client implementations. You will establish how Salesforce connects with enterprise systems, scales securely, and supports reliable business operations. You will guide delivery teams through design decisions, implementation reviews, production readiness and technical risk management.
Key responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with client technology leaders; document the current landscape, constraints, nonfunctional requirements and target architecture.
- Design Salesforce organisation strategy, application boundaries, data ownership, identity flows and integration patterns across client platforms.
- Choose appropriate declarative, custom-code and external-service solutions; explain trade-offs in scalability, operating cost, maintainability and delivery risk.
- Define secure access using sharing architecture, permission sets, authentication and authorisation controls, and appropriate handling of sensitive client information.
- Design for large data volumes, transaction limits, asynchronous processing, API capacity, event-driven integrations and resilient failure recovery.
- Establish code review standards, automated quality checks, workplace strategy, release controls and architectural decision records for delivery teams.
- Review data migration approaches, reconciliation, deployment dependencies, cutover sequencing and rollback procedures before production releases.
- Assess Agentforce and data-platform designs for grounding quality, access boundaries, observability, cost exposure and appropriate human oversight.
- Lead architecture reviews and technical investigations; remove delivery blockers and agree technical-debt priorities with project leadership.
- Support presales with solution options, estimates, dependencies and technical assumptions; mentor developers and architects and hand over operational documentation.
Required skills and experience
- Evidence of leading at least two complex Salesforce programmes through design, deployment and operational transition, with clear personal ownership.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data modelling, sharing, platform limits, Apex, Lightning Web Components and declarative automation.
- Strong integration architecture knowledge covering REST APIs, messaging, authentication, middleware, retry handling and data consistency.
- Practical experience with enterprise identity, security reviews, large-volume data management and measurable performance requirements.
- Ability to establish CI/CD, testing and release governance without creating unnecessary delivery overhead.
- Ability to defend architectural trade-offs to senior stakeholders and translate them into actionable guidance for distributed engineering teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Salesforce architecture credentials relevant to application and system design; Certified Technical Architect is an advantage, not a prerequisite.
- Experience with MuleSoft, Data Cloud or Data 360, Agentforce, and at least one industry-specific implementation.
- Experience resolving technical debt, consolidating Salesforce organisations or designing complex enterprise migrations.
Key deliverables Target architecture, integration and security designs, architecture decision records, engineering standards, risk register and production-readiness recommendations.
Measures of success
- Architecture decisions are documented and accepted before dependent work begins; material design risks have owners and mitigation plans.
- Delivered solutions meet agreed performance, security and reliability requirements, with reduced design-related rework and avoidable production incidents.
- Engineering teams adopt reusable patterns and complete support handovers with clear ownership and recovery procedures.
