Role purpose

Teceze is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant and Developer to deliver reliable, personalised customer communications for client marketing teams. You will combine journey design and technical implementation, connect trusted audience data, and help teams operate campaigns with clear consent controls, useful analytics and repeatable quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

- Gather campaign objectives, customer-journey requirements, audience definitions and operational constraints from marketing and business stakeholders.
- Design and implement customer journeys in Journey Builder, including entry criteria, decision logic, exit rules, re-entry behaviour and suppression.
- Configure Automation Studio processes, SQL queries, data extensions and scheduled imports to prepare reliable campaign audiences.
- Build responsive email templates and dynamic content using HTML, CSS and AMPscript, validating rendering and personalisation across representative cases.
- Develop approved integrations and automation extensions using APIs and server-side scripting where required, with appropriate security and error handling.
- Implement preference, consent, unsubscribe and suppression requirements in collaboration with client policy owners and campaign operations.




- Configure and validate sender authentication and deliverability practices with relevant administrators; monitor bounces, complaints and engagement trends.
- Create campaign quality checks for links, targeting, exclusions, dynamic content, journey logic and test sends before authorised production activation.
- Develop reporting and controlled experiments, explaining attribution limitations and using results to improve segmentation and customer engagement.
- Document assets, data flows and operating procedures; support campaign incidents, train users and coordinate release changes with client teams.

Required skills and experience

- Hands-on Marketing Cloud Engagement experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, data extensions and campaign deployment.
- Robust SQL and AMPscript skills, plus HTML and CSS for responsive email development and debugging.
- Understanding of subscriber identity, data relationships, segmentation, consent handling and the risks of incorrect audience selection.
- Experience with APIs or Marketing Cloud Connect and reconciliation of data exchanged with CRM or other platforms.
- Ability to test complex journeys and personalisation scenarios and troubleshoot data, automation and sending failures.
- Ability to translate campaign objectives into maintainable technical implementations and explain performance results to marketing stakeholders.

Education: Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience. Evidence of successful delivery is more important than certification alone.

Key deliverables

Journey designs, audience queries, automation workflows, tested email assets, campaign QA evidence, reporting definitions and operational runbooks.

Measures of success

- Campaign audiences, exclusions and personalisation match approved specifications, with consent and suppression controls consistently applied.
- Journeys and automations run reliably, and campaign defects are detected before activation or resolved through clear incident procedures.
- Engagement and conversion outcomes are measured against agreed objectives with transparent definitions and responsible interpretation.
