Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chittorgarh. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures across industrial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective actions.
The Safety
Officer will organize and deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors, and maintain accurate records of safety performance,
incidents, and preventive measures. The role also involves investigating accidents and near misses, coordinating with operational teams and security personnel, supporting emergency response planning, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the site.
Qualifications
- Robust knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in Accident Investigation, incident reporting, and root-cause analysis with the ability to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Capability to conduct Safety Training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs tailored to industrial work environments.
- Understanding of Security procedures related to industrial sites, including access control and emergency response coordination.
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field; recognized safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Safety Officer or similar role in heavy industry, manufacturing, ports, mining, or large construction projects.
- Proficiency in preparing safety documentation, reports, and checklists; familiarity with MS Office and basic IT tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviors and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chittorgarh and conduct regular field visits in varying industrial conditions.
