-Revenue Growth & Inventory Strategy Manager

Commercial Strategy | Inventory Monetisation | Revenue Growth | Cross-functional Execution

DATA → INSIGHT → ACTION PLAN → EXECUTION → SALES → CASH Role

Objective

We are looking for an analytical, commercially sharp and execution-driven professional who can convert data into action, inventory into cash, and opportunities into revenue. This is not a conventional sales or MIS role. The person will work across Sales, Inventory, E-commerce/Performance, NPD and Production to identify opportunities, build action plans, drive implementation and measure business results.

Job Responsibilites:-

1. Finished Goods & Inventory Ageing Monitor finished-goods inventory SKU-wise, category-wise, value-wise and ageing-wise. Track ageing buckets such as 30 / 60 / 90 / 120+ days and identify slow-moving, non-moving and excess stock. Create SKU-wise liquidation plans before inventory becomes dead stock. Own follow-up until identified inventory is actually sold or commercially resolved.
2. Convert Inventory into Cash Identify high-value inventory that is not moving and route it to the most suitable sales teams and channels. Create product-wise liquidation targets and push plans with clear owners and deadlines. Recommend bundles, promotions, pricing or channel-specific strategies where commercially required. Track inventory reduced, revenue generated and cash released from blocked stock.
3. Drive Sales Across All Sales Streams Ensure products are actively utilised across B2B/key accounts, distributors/dealers, marketplaces, quick commerce, e-commerce/D2C, institutional/corporate and other relevant channels. Identify products performing in one channel but missing or underutilised in another. Increase distribution and product penetration instead of allowing good inventory to depend on a single channel.
4.

Revenue Growth Identify revenue gaps and growth opportunities using customer, SKU, category and channel data. Increase revenue from existing products, customers and channels. Identify new products/categories required to unlock additional revenue. Drive new products from idea to development, presentation/listing, channel activation and actual sales.
5. Revenue Growth & Inventory Strategy Data Analysis & Opportunity Identification Analyse SKU-wise, customer-wise, channel-wise and category-wise sales along with inventory, ageing, margins and historical trends. Identify underperforming products, dormant customers, lost business, assortment gaps and cross-selling opportunities. Reports are not the output: every important insight must lead to a defined commercial action.
6. Action Planning & Execution For every major problem or opportunity define: WHAT needs to happen, WHO owns it, BY WHEN, EXPECTED RESULT/REVENUE and ACTUAL RESULT. Prepare and drive weekly commercial action plans across relevant teams. Follow up aggressively, remove execution bottlenecks and escalate delays where required. Measure results against plan and change actions quickly when outcomes are not being achieved.
7. SKU Productivity Management Classify products into Hero / Growth / Stable / Slow Moving / Dead. Recommend actions such as wider distribution, higher stock, promotion, bundling, pricing changes, clearance, product improvement or discontinuation. Improve revenue generated per SKU while reducing unproductive inventory.
8.

Customer & Sales Opportunity Mining Identify customers who can buy additional categories, products missing from existing customers and repeat-order opportunities. Reactivate dormant customers and uncover lost or underdeveloped business. Convert broad sales instructions into specific opportunities: inventory value, target customers, expected sales, responsible person and deadline.
9. New Product Revenue Use customer, sales and market inputs to identify commercially relevant new products. Coordinate with NPD/design/product teams and track development timelines. Ensure new products reach relevant customers and channels quickly. Measure revenue generated from newly launched products - not merely the number of SKUs created.
10. Sales & Inventory Forecasting Study historical sales, current trends and upcoming opportunities to highlight overstock and stock-out risks. Recommend realistic inventory requirements based on sales potential. Coordinate with Production/Planning so the company avoids both lost sales from insufficient stock and blocked cash from excess stock.
