About Maraal Aerospace Pvt Ltd
Maraal Aerospace is developing advanced UAV and High-Altitude Pseudo Satellite (HAPS) platforms for long-endurance surveillance, communications, and defence applications. We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and validation of mission-critical communication systems for aerospace and defence platforms.
Position Summary The RF Engineer will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and validation of RF communication systems used in UAV and defence applications. The role requires hands-on experience with long-range communication systems, Electronic Warfare (EW), antenna systems, RF testing, and field validation activities.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience working with defence communication systems and evaluating RF performance in challenging operational environments.
Key Resposibilities
RF Systems Development:
- Design and integrate RF communication systems for UAV and aerospace platforms.
- Support Command & Control (C2), telemetry, payload data, and video communication links.
- Develop long-range communication architectures for UAV operations.
- Perform RF performance analysis and system optimization.
Electronic Warfare & Defence Applications:
- Evaluate communication systems for operation in EW environments.
- Conduct RF vulnerability, interference, and anti-jamming assessments.
- Support EW testing, validation, and communication resilience studies.
- Develop mitigation strategies against RF threats and signal degradation.
Testing & Validation:
- Conduct laboratory and field testing of RF systems.
- Perform range testing, communication reliability assessments,
and link budget validation.
- Support ground trials, flight trials, and defence demonstrations.
- Analyse system performance using industry-standard RF test equipment.
Antenna & Propagation Engineering:
- Support antenna selection, integration, and optimization.
- Perform propagation studies and communication coverage analysis.
- Evaluate airborne and ground station RF configurations.
Documentation:
- Prepare technical reports, test plans, SOPs, ATPs, and validation reports.
- Support technical reviews, customer demonstrations, and defence evaluations.
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Electronics, or a related discipline.
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in RF systems, defence communications, aerospace, or UAV technologies.
