Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based at Apollo Hospitals in Ahmedabad.
The Registered
Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions in accordance with hospital protocols and clinical best practices. Daily responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs and patient conditions, maintaining accurate medical records, and coordinating care with physicians and allied health professionals. The role involves supporting patients and families through education and counseling, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety standards,
and assisting in emergency situations and critical care as required.
The Registered
Nurse will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, follow NABH/ JCI and hospital guidelines, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-first care workplace.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent) and current registration with the relevant nursing council.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and basic and advanced nursing procedures, preferably in multi-specialty or tertiary care settings.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and adherence to clinical and NABH standards.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in high-acuity environments such as ICUs, emergency departments, and specialty units, including handling critical and post-operative patients.
- Competence in documentation, use of hospital information systems, and basic computer literacy.
- Strong ethical standards, empathy, and a patient-centric approach, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hospital operations.
- Prior experience in cardiac, neuro, oncology, transplant, or critical care nursing is an advantage.
