Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Regional Business Development Head to lead and expand our Ash Disposal & Utilization vertical in the Southern Region. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in ash disposal tenders, ash trading, and logistics coordination with government and private thermal power plants.

This role combines strategic business development, tendering leadership, and operational coordination to ensure productive evacuation, transportation, and utilization of fly ash, pond ash, and bottom ash from power plants to end users.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition

- Identify and develop new business opportunities in ash disposal, trading, and logistics across government and private thermal power plants.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ash management teams at thermal power plants.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive database of:

- Ash generators (Power Plants)
- Ash consumers (Cement plants, brick manufacturers, infrastructure companies, etc.)
- Generate and secure long-term ash evacuation contracts, particularly with:

- NTPC

- State Electricity Boards (SEBs)

- Private thermal power plants

Tendering & Proposal Management

- Participate in ash disposal and transportation tenders including:

- EOI

- RFP

- RFQ
- Techno-commercial bids
- Prepare detailed commercial proposals, cost models, and feasibility assessments.
- Coordinate with legal, technical, and operations teams for compliant and timely bid submissions.
- Manage end-to-end tender lifecycle from identification to award.

Logistics & Operational Coordination

- Plan and coordinate ash evacuation via road and rail transportation.
- Oversee unloading, storage, and last-mile delivery.
- Liaise with logistics partners, transporters, and bulk handling agencies.




- Resolve operational challenges at power plant sites and customer locations.
- Ensure SLA adherence and operational efficiency.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

- Monitor market trends in ash utilization, pricing, sustainability targets, and regulatory policies (MoEF, CPCB, CEA).
- Track competitor activity and emerging business models.
- Provide periodic business pipeline and strategy updates to senior management.
- Identify innovative solutions and strategic partnerships to enhance ash management capabilities.

Preferred candidate profile

- Any Graduate with 15+ years in ash disposal logistics, trading, tendering, or power plant waste management
- Proven track record in winning and executing ash disposal projects with PSU and private utilities.
- Strong professional network within thermal power plants.
- Working knowledge of environmental regulations and ash utilization mandates.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with e-tendering portals.

Preferred Background

- Experience with cement, construction, or logistics companies involved in fly ash utilization.
- Exposure to PSU tendering procedures such as:

- TANGEDCO

- NTPC

- State Electricity Boards
- Familiarity with thermal power plant ash handling systems.
