About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at Diplomats Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes across our construction sites. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining construction standards, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable IS codes.

The Quality

Engineer will play a crucial role in inspecting materials, supervising testing procedures, and coordinating with various stakeholders to uphold the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. The position is full-time and site-based, requiring the candidate to work at project locations across India.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in construction quality control, material testing, and site supervision is essential. Candidates must have a solid understanding of QA/QC procedures, testing methods, and Indian Standards (IS).

Proficiency in interpreting structural and architectural drawings, technical specifications, and test results is required.



Additionally, familiarity with RCC works, masonry, waterproofing, and finishing inspections will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate strong documentation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Willingness to work at various project sites across India is mandatory.

Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer include implementing project-specific quality plans, inspection and test plans, and quality control procedures to ensure adherence to project specifications. The engineer will conduct regular inspections of construction activities, verifying compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and IS codes. Organizing and supervising testing of construction materials such as concrete, cement, steel, aggregates, soil, bricks, and blocks is a critical aspect of the role.

This includes verifying concrete mix designs, monitoring batching and pouring processes, and overseeing slump tests, cube casting, curing, and strength testing procedures.

The Quality Engineer will also be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, reviewing test certificates, and maintaining comprehensive material approval records. Coordination with site teams, consultants, contractors, and approved testing laboratories is vital for seamless project execution. Identifying quality deviations, issuing non-conformance reports,



and verifying corrective actions are key tasks to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Maintaining accurate inspection reports, test registers, checklists, calibration records, and other quality documentation is essential for audit readiness and project closure. The role also involves conducting quality audits, supporting snagging and rectification processes, and assisting in project handover activities. Guiding site teams on workmanship standards and preventive measures to reduce defects and rework will also be part of the responsibilities.
