About The Role
At Marriott International, we are seeking a highly engaged and motivated Software Quality Engineer to join our fast-paced and high-performing application development team. In this role, the candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality Salesforce applications and integrations through comprehensive testing strategies, both manual and automated. The engineer will work closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders in an Agile workplace to validate functionality, performance, and data integrity across the Salesforce ecosystem.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the quality of enterprise-level Salesforce solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and security. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping testing practices, driving automation initiatives, and supporting continuous delivery processes within a dynamic technology landscape.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Test Automation.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience testing Salesforce platforms and applications, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or custom Salesforce implementations.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, TOSCA (preferred), or equivalent testing technologies.
- Proven experience integrating automated testing into modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, including APIs, workflows, data models, security, and release management processes.
- Extensive experience performing functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, user acceptance, and data validation testing.
- Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate quality risks and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Educational qualification: Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for Salesforce applications, integrations, and platform enhancements.
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, TOSCA, or equivalent technologies.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into effective manual and automated test scenarios.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and high-quality releases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, end-to-end, user acceptance, and data validation testing across multiple Salesforce environments.
- Validate Salesforce integration with internal and external systems, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, manage defect triage activities, and partner with engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level quality engineers.
- Champion QA best practices, standards, and process improvements across teams and programs.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, release planning, and production readiness activities.
- Assess quality risks and proactively communicate recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
