Role & responsibilities

- Conduct routine, planned and surprise quality inspections and audits for OSP and ISP fiber deployment projects.

- Inspect fiber construction activities including trenching, ducting, HDD, cable blowing, cable pulling, aerial fiber and splicing.

- Verify execution against approved drawings, route plans, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) and quality standards.

- Inspect fiber joint closures, splicing quality, cable labelling, chambers, manholes, hand-holes, route markers and surface restoration.

- Verify incoming materials against approved MAF/datasheets and maintain material inspection records.

- Verify duct integrity through rodding, proofing and pressure testing before cable installation.

- Validate OTDR, IL, ORL, PMD and CD reports and verify end-to-end link budgets against design requirements.

- Verify splice loss, connector performance, end-face cleanliness and testing at applicable wavelengths.

- Ensure all test equipment including OTDR, power meter, light source, VFL and inspection scope has valid calibration.

- Witness customer acceptance testing, joint measurements and punch-point closure.

- Review and maintain Route Index, Joint Closure Records, As-Built Drawings, inspection reports, quality registers and calibration records.

- Raise and track NCRs, audit findings and CAPA, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and effectively closed.

- Conduct vendor/contractor quality inspections and audits covering workmanship, QMS, manpower competency and material compliance.





- Support Root Cause Analysis using 5-Why, Fishbone and 8D methodologies.

- Prepare quality dashboards, KPI reports, NCR/CAPA trend analysis and audit status reports.

- Support internal, customer, certification and regulatory audits and HOTO activities.

- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, PPE, work permits, traffic management, excavation and confined-space safety requirements.

- Drive lessons learned and continual improvement initiatives across fiber deployment projects.

Preferred candidate profile

- 37 years of experience in Telecom/Fiber Projects, preferably in OSP/ISP quality inspection and auditing.

- Strong hands-on knowledge of fiber optic deployment, construction quality and testing.

- Experience in OTDR, Power Meter, VFL and fiber testing.

- Should have practical experience in conducting quality inspections and site audits.

- Strong understanding of NCR/CAPA management, corrective actions and audit closure.

- Good knowledge of telecom construction standards and fiber quality requirements.

- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 QMS and quality audit processes.

- Experience working with contractors, vendors, customers, field teams and testing agencies.

- Robust documentation and reporting capabilities with proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- High attention to detail with an objective, analytical and audit-oriented approach.

- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Willingness to travel extensively and conduct field/site inspections.
