About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer to own the quality of a multi-tenant B2B supply-chain platform end to end - from understanding business requirements and defining test strategy, through functional, API, database and automation testing, to release validation and production support.
The platform manages complex transactional workflows across multiple clients, stores, users and roles, covering procurement, ordering, approvals, commercial documents, inventory, fulfillment, shipments and delivery. Correctness of business workflows, data, permissions and system state is critical.
This is not a role where you will simply execute predefined test cases. You will be expected to understand the underlying business problem, ask the right questions, identify gaps and edge cases, and build reliable test coverage that prevents production issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Own QA across functional, API, integration, database and end-to-end testing.
- Translate business requirements into test scenarios, acceptance criteria and regression coverage.
- Design and maintain automated tests for critical workflows and APIs.
- Validate complex workflows, business rules, state transitions and transactional data.
- Test multi-tenant, role-based and store-level access controls.
- Validate third-party integrations and asynchronous workflows.
- Perform database-level validation and investigate data inconsistencies using SQL.
- Identify edge cases, failure scenarios and data-integrity issues before production.
- Own regression, release and production validation processes.
- Work closely with developers and product stakeholders to reproduce, troubleshoot and resolve defects.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
- Establish QA standards, test practices and automation patterns as the engineering team scales.
Required Skills Experience
- 3+ years of experience testing production-grade web applications, preferably B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
- Solid hands-on experience with functional, integration and end-to-end testing.
- Strong API testing experience using Postman, Bruno or equivalent.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.
- Experience testing RBAC, authentication, authorization and multi-tenant applications.
- Experience testing complex workflows, asynchronous processing and third-party integrations.
- Good understanding of API validation, error handling, idempotency and failure scenarios.
- Experience with regression testing, defect management and release validation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile development practices.
Good to Have
- Experience testing Java/Spring Boot backend applications and understanding backend logs.
- Experience with performance/load testing using JMeter, k6 or equivalent.
- Experience with inventory, procurement, e-commerce, logistics or supply-chain platforms.
- Experience with AWS/cloud-based applications.
- Experience testing document/PDF generation and transactional systems.
What We Look For We value QA engineers who:
- Take ownership rather than waiting for detailed test cases.
- Think about the business problem, not just the UI.
- Ask questions when requirements are unclear.
- Identify edge cases before they become production issues.
- Care about data correctness, security and system reliability.
- Can investigate failures across UI, API, database and logs.
- Understand complex business workflows and think beyond happy-path testing.
- Communicate clearly with developers, product managers and business stakeholders.
