Hirely is recruiting Coding Puzzle Solvers on behalf of a hiring partner. You'll solve self-contained coding, algorithmic reasoning, debugging, and technical challenges designed to evaluate and improve advanced AI models.
The work involves analyzing unfamiliar problems or codebases, implementing reproducible solutions, testing against constraints, and identifying subtle logic errors and edge cases.
What You'll Do
- Solve coding, logic, debugging, and technical reasoning challenges
- Analyze unfamiliar problems and translate requirements into working solutions
- Select appropriate algorithms and data structures
- Work in terminal-based development environments and existing codebases
- Implement correct and efficient solutions using Python, C++, or another suitable language
- Identify edge cases, hidden assumptions, ambiguous requirements, and failure conditions
- Debug code, tests, dependencies, and environment configuration
- Develop tests and verification methods for evaluating solutions
- Review AI-generated solutions for logic errors, incomplete reasoning, and constraint violations
- Produce explicit, reproducible solutions that can be automatically evaluated
- Explain technical reasoning, implementation decisions, and trade-offs
Who We're Looking For
- Strong algorithmic problem-solving ability
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or another general-purpose programming language
- Experience solving complex technical or programming problems
- Strong understanding of complexity, correctness, constraints, and edge cases
- Experience debugging unfamiliar code
- Comfort working independently in terminal-based environments
- Ability to produce testable and reproducible software solutions
- Strong written and verbal technical communication
A public Codeforces profile demonstrating meaningful competitive-programming experience is a plus. Compensation & Terms
- $50-80/hour, independent contractor
- Approximately 15 hours/week
- Fully remote and globally available
- Flexible schedule, choose your own hours and days
- Output-based compensation; experts are paid per qualifying task
- Projects may vary based on workload and performance
- Selected experts are expected to begin within 24-48 hours of onboarding
