Job Summary:

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of materials and services required for our solar panel manufacturing and installation operations. This role requires a solid understanding of the solar industry, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies in alignment with company objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, and delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favourable deals.
- Manage the entire procurement process, from requisition to payment.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials and avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier information.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including engineering, operations, and finance, to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely fulfilment.




- Analyse market trends and identify opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to purchased goods or services.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in procurement, particularly within the solar industry.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with market trends and supply chain management best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of solar panel components and their respective suppliers is a plus.
