ASME Authorized Inspector (AI)

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu | Travel to client sites may be required

We are seeking a highly skilled ASME Authorized Inspector to ensure boilers, pressure vessels, and piping systems meet the highest engineering and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
/n
/n
Conduct shop and field inspections at critical stages of fabrication and assembly.
/n
Witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and proof tests as well as non-destructive examinations (NDE).
/n
Ensure calibration and verification of inspection and test equipment.
/n
Maintain detailed ASME Inspector Diary documenting inspections, findings, and witnessing events.
/n
Verify materials, metallurgical traceability, and quality records comply with ASME BPV Code.
/n
Review and validate engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations against code requirements.
/n
Confirm WPS, PQR, and welder/operator qualifications,
ensuring repairs meet ASME standards.
/n
Identify, document, and report non-conforming conditions, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
/n
Ensure all ASME BPV Code requirements are met before applying the U-stamp, including proper nameplate and National Board registration marks.
/n
Participate in joint reviews with Certificate Holder and AI Supervisors.
/n

Proven experience in pressure vessel and boiler inspections
/n
Solid knowledge of ASME BPV Code and National Board regulations
/n
Experience in third-party inspections and NDE methods
/n
