Position: Program Manager, Data, Research and Insights The Global Access to Talent from India (GATI) Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to advancing global labour mobility and positioning India as a leader in skilled overseas employment through ethical, structured, and circular migration. By bringing together governments, businesses, and civil society, GATI aims to address structural barriers-including visa restrictions, accreditation hurdles, and financial constraints-and enable seamless, responsible migration. Our priority areas include building high-impact migration corridors, aligning worker accreditation with global standards, unlocking financial access, and strengthening worker welfare.

Overview of the position The GATI Foundation is looking for Program Manager, Data, Research and Insights to join the Data, Research and Insights Unit. The Program Manager, Data, Research and Insights will play a pivotal role in designing and operationalising the unit s strategy and executing the organisation s data-driven research initiatives.
The ideal candidate will combine robust quantitative skills with a deep interest in labour economics and public policy, helping turn complex socio-economic datasets into actionable insights that establish GATI as the authoritative reference point on India s global labor and skills mobility landscape.
Key responsibilities
- Design and lead the production of high-quality research outputs on the theme in collaboration with academic researchers
- Identify and develop methodologies to address critical data gaps in the Indian labour and skills mobility landscape
- Build partnerships with relevant external partners to nurture a strong research collaborative on the theme
- Provide support to various wings of the organisation in their needs for reliable data to inform their work
- Ensure all organisational initiatives are grounded in verifiable data to enhance credibility with partners and the larger ecosystem
- Translate research findings into policy recommendations and narratives
Preferred skills and experience
- A postgraduate degree (or higher) in the social sciences, particularly in labour economics, public policy, international relations or a related field
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience of working with large-scale Indian national datasets is a must. Familiarity with international labor migration databases would be an advantage
- A strong understanding of deriving insights from quantitative data and the ability to translate complex technical findings into compelling narratives for technical as well as non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of research methods and statistical approaches in a socio-economic context
- Ability to translate complex analysis into solutions
