Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Professor of Computer Science based at the Amity University campus in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Professor of Computer Science will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, ensuring that curricula reflect current developments in computer science and related disciplines.

Responsibilities include lecturing, conducting tutorials and labs, supervising student projects and research, mentoring learners, and supporting academic advising. The role also involves engaging in scholarly research, publishing in reputable journals,



collaborating on funded projects, and contributing to departmental initiatives and university committees. The professor is expected to build industry linkages, participate in curriculum reviews, and support outreach activities that enhance the reputation and impact of the Computer Science programs.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Computer Science, with expertise in core concepts and emerging technologies.
- Proficiency in Programming and software development practices, with experience using modern languages and tools.
- Knowledge of Data Science, analytics, and related computational methods applied to real-world problems.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity principles, systems security, and secure software design.
- Demonstrated experience in Curriculum Development and academic program design aligned with industry and research trends.
- Doctoral degree (PhD) in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Evidence of research output, such as peer-reviewed publications, funded projects, or patents.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level with effective classroom, lab, and online teaching practices.
- Ability to mentor students, guide projects and theses, and support a diverse academic community.
