Role Description The Professor and Dean for School of Engineering (Computer Science) role is a full-time, on-site position based at Avantika University in Ujjain. The individual in this role will lead an academic school or faculty, overseeing curriculum design, program development, and alignment with the university’s design-centric, challenge-based pedagogy. Day-to-day responsibilities include teaching and mentoring learners, supervising faculty members, and fostering an environment of academic excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Professor and Dean will manage academic operations, contribute to strategic planning, ensure quality standards,



and build partnerships with industry and academic institutions. The role also involves driving research initiatives, supporting faculty development, and representing the school in internal and external committees and events.

Qualifications

- Proven academic leadership experience, including responsibility for curriculum development, program management, and faculty supervision.
- Strong teaching and mentoring background at the university level, preferably in design, engineering, management, or related interdisciplinary fields.
- Demonstrated record of research, publications, or skilled practice that aligns with design-centric or applied learning approaches.
- Experience fostering collaborative, learner-centered environments and implementing innovative pedagogical methods.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in (UG,PG in B.Tech/B.E./M.tech/M.E- Computer Science); significant academic or industry leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in academic administration, accreditation processes, and quality assurance will be an advantage.
